Laminate Flooring Contractor Essex

Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is a composite material, including a protective resin top coat, a high-resolution decorative layer and a high-density fibreboard (HDF) core made of wood chips. Most modern laminates are water-resistant for up to three days and far more scratch-resistant than you might realise. Laminate is also resistant to burns, organic solvents and fading, even in direct sunlight, making it a long-lasting and economical alternative to solid wood.

Solid Wood Flooring

Solid wood flooring is intrinsically unique and naturally beautiful, making it ideal for environments where image is vital, such as boutiques and high-end commercial premises, as well as for homeowners who want to enjoy its timeless appeal. When finished with a protective oil or matt lacquer seal, it’s resilient enough to withstand heavy traffic for many years, and can be sanded down and resealed as necessary.

Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood is a durable choice, combining a robust, high-quality plywood core with a layer of real hardwood to create a natural finish. The thicker the wooden layer, the more times it can be sanded down and refinished o maintain its appearance. Despite popular assumptions, engineered wood flooring is not always cheaper than solid wood, but it does offer the advantage of being less likely to shrink or swell, as its construction renders it more resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations.

I have used R Sees Flooring for nearly 15 years and they have always performed well. Their work has always been to the required standard and delivered in line with the programme. I would definitely continue to use Sees Flooring as my preferred soft-flooring subcontractor and have no trouble highly recommending them to others.
